20-35 322 3 TDs. NFC East championship clinching performance? Sounds like Black Beast material ta me. I mean I get so used to watching him play at such a high level, I forget sometimes what he’s been threw. Doubters, detractors. Haters. For days. The man plays sick in the superbowl. Throws up and keeps throwing. And all they said was he ch-ch-ch-ch-chocked. People throw up for things other than nerves good people. My heart broke for him that day, playing the Cheatriots. But his time is coming back. He’s running, gunning, facing down pressure and throwing darts, bullets, lasers. You pick an analogy. This is the Black beast of the week.
Just a note. This one was actually difficult. It wasn’t until I understood Chris Johsnon was probably going to break 2000 yards that I decided. CJ’s running at such a high level and didn’t get injured. No way he doesn’t get more than the 128 he needs which would make him the unanimous NFL Black Beast of the year
Jerome Harrison and Josh Cribbs Hawk Black Beasts of the Week
Saturday, December 26th, 2009It is rare that one game contains two Titanic efforts such that two hawks can be seen flying above the competition. Think about it, Smokin’ Joe and Ali, Russell and Wilt. How many incredible tandem efforts have been seen in sport history? Rare. And rare only because it takes the touch of the creator to deliver one such effort, the will of humanity can be so great that it takes enormous providence to bless us with so much more. And twice that blessing?
Miraculous
In every sense of the word.
Stunned I watched play after play of Harrison rushing the ball. I could see it coming last week. His burst was elite. Unheard of, rarely seen. I knew a defense playing poorly would have an incredibly difficult day against him from the moment I saw him. You see their is speed and there is acceleration. Even in the NFL. Tired legs, physical peaking, all of that matters. And James Harrison was running as if every one else was standing still from the moment I saw him.
A truly elite speed. He looked quicker by tenths of a second than Chris Johnson. No easy feat.
And it was that speed and that intensity on display against the hapless Chiefs. 34 for 286 yards. Three TDs. The third highest total in the history of the league.
That’s an accomplishment. Period. On a team like the Browns that’s a multi year multimillion dollar job security performance. I’d be on the phone now. And this is what makes his performance so special here at the Black Beast, You see by serendipity, the Gods of injury have given your team your leader, your Hawk. The player who will set your teams intensity, inspire others to win, will them to greatness and shown that draft boards and the NFL do not make Ballas, but rather heart, will, desire and skill. And none of that in equal measure. And a Hawk may be found any where. Canada. Europe. BLACK COLLEGES, It does not matter, the NFL’s elitism not withstanding.
No need to worry about quality about performance despite his unheralded status Mr. Holmgrem this man is a Black Beast who performed as a Hawk and who could be Hawk of the year with that performance, which I watched twice.
All of this said, it makes the feat of his Hawk mate that much more fantastic. Over and over again I watched this man run these kicks back. I absolutely love this spin move because I teach it as a staple in Hawk, the martial art form I teach to football players. It is worth noting again that it is not that he did it which is remarkable since there have been two other players who’ve done two kick returns this year for TDs, but rather that he did it on a day when his team mate passed the great Jim Brown and a host of hall of famers for rushing yards in a game. Usually a team watches one flaming Hawk set the intensity and tempo of a game. But here, because this man is a true Black Beast Hawk receiving his second Black Beast of the week award for a performance on the day that his team mate absolutely decimated the opposition, this is so rare it must be acknowledged on the same level. But rather than so many words we will let the video speak..
Eugene Monroe and the Pussy Cats: Twas The Bust Before Christmas…

Eugene I can’t stop a car wit m’ foot on the brake is a bust. A huge bust and every body who knows football can see it. The 19 mill guaranteed man was benched in favor of Tra Thomas at the beginning of the season, started some games, then gave way to some unknown Caucasian man. Then he started games again.
19 mill and number 8 over all and this is what he is? Part timer?
Bust.
Period.
This past weekend my stomach full of left overs I sat down to watch the 9ers eat ‘em like Christmas dinner. Tole the woman this could be ugly. She said they been wining. I said that was against poor teams ain’t none on the schedule.
Lord was it old school. I laughed so hard I almost threw up all the food. The pussy cats were ugly and Monroe led the way. Multiple pressures, two strip sacks given, one additional sack given up. Oh it was so ugly. The picture I remember most was him on his knees with Justin Smith laying upon a prone Little Davey Gerrad in front of him, after a bull rush straight up field into his weakness-the hard inside move. But it didn’t matter who was on him. Push pull, speed rush, okie doke. It didn’t matter.
I mean the man made Manny Lawson look like LT The God for real. Na meen. Manny could have traded his 99 in for 56 NY Giants blue and kept it moving. Lord was it ugly.
The Bust before Christmas doing what he does best. The only difference is on sunday he's wearing a uniform. Just a blocking dummy.
I can’t help wonder why they gave this man his starting job back. You and I both know. Save face. 19 mill.Oh he can play .

Mike Mayock, Tim Teabo, David Gerrad, and The Pussy Cats: Looking to collect busts because it’s the pussy thing to do.

Mayock, I’ve said this before but it bears repeating…I don’t know how in de hell your arguably greatest player in college football history is your fourth or fifth ranked QB, but ok. And how in de hell does the greatest ever suddenly become in your words, a project as a professional as you’ve recently started saying? Wow what a slippery slope. Just admit he sucks and let it go…The more you admit that was pure bullshit you was sproutin’ the more you undermine your own credibility. I think unbiased analysis of Tim Teabo as a player would demonstrate that he’s no where near the greatest.If a QB ever made a career off the Black Beast receiver run after the catch and superior explosion–Percy Harvin-etc he’s it. Short pass big But there’s further talk the Pussy Cats want him to sell seats….
I love how all the rules are thrown out for race (Mayock) and Money (Weaver-). They’re all saying and Mayock has said it and presumably the Jags are on board, albeit for their own reasons: “he’s not the best QB. He’s a leader of men. He’ll be the first guy in the building. He has all the intangibles.” The owner of the Jags called Teabo and extraordinary young man and an extraordinary athlete who will do well in the NFL.
Athlete? What about Jarrett of WVU who ran a 4.5 at the same combine? And Jarrett has an arm and release all the great White Hypers wish Teabo had. No one ever called him an ATHLETE with the special voice they reserve for the reverence. What about all the great Meac and all Historically Black Colleges and University quarterbacks whom the NFL scouts never give a chance though their arm is better, accuracy is better and they’re faster and more agile. Believe me there have been many! But the NFL always claimed they fell short of the howitzer arm, except now that it’s a white male they don’t believe that’s necessary. See where I’m going here? What are we hearing about Joe Webb? What happened to him after a wonderful career college career only to be made to play receiver is clearly racism when considered side by side with the case of weak armed inaccurate Great White Hype Teabo. And the only thing great about him is his inaccuracy. But we hear more Teabo noise than Tiger Woods noise and that truly is saying something. Weaver’s screaming about Teabo even as the coach throws his current QB under the bus to save his own ass….
And sadly Little Davey’s buying this scapegoat shit. Sprouting this scapegoat speak like it springs from him. Del Rio was right I wasn’t elite.…How bout sayin’ the offense line played like shit. We paid the wealth of nations to a cat who couldn’t block. And drafted short arms who couldn’t reach block a cat running right at him. The receivers couldn’t get separation while I was running for my life almost every possession. Let’s tell the truth for once instead of this Pussy Cat mating ritual.
Lets switch this up. I say…Good. Let’s ignore all The Black Beasts worthy of that slot and draft him. Call him a QB and sit him on the bench. Or play him all over the field and watch him slowly be a football player. Emphasis on slowly. Lets watch how bad he is. And the funny thing is he’ll be a bad football player on a worse team when he joins the Pussy Cats.
Great. Just what The Pussy Cats do. While every other team looks to collect busts in Canton, ya’ll collectin’ draft busts in Florida. I look forward to seeing it. It would be no fun if Teabo were the free agent he should be and fighting to make the team. It’s gonna be more fun watching this fake icon and poor QB pilloried in the press when he fails miserably as an NFL QB. I don’t mind telling you that because hell you’ll never listen to me. I’ll love watching you fools replace Little Davey with him after you’ve blamed Davey but can’t draft OLine help which actually helps….But watch you’ll blame the OLine when Tim Great White Hope but weak armed Teabo can’t succeed.
It’s the Pussy thing to do.
