I can say nothing that has not been said about this young brother. Tragedy. 26 and doing what had to be the stuff of his boyhood dreams with the respect of his peers. Star in the minds of many who are reaching for what he had. Even if he barely held it in his tenuous grasp, even if the world always seemed about to take it away. It is quite sad that when, by all accounts, he had figured it all out, it was indeed taken from him by forces more powerful than owners, GMs, team mates, opponents. And even sadder still when you consider the decisions he’d made presumably in the past which one could see ending as this, but that this one, at home with the wife to be, would be the beginning of the end.
